Bran Castle-Dracula

One of the most famous visitor attractions in Romania, is the Bran Castle in Transilvania.
People refer this castle to Dracula, but in fact there is nothing to do with Dracula (Vlad Tepes).
Vlad Tepes maybe stayed in this castle but never owned it.
The castle was built by the saxons from Brasov, in 1382 to protect Bran.
Near the entrance to the castle you can find a small market for souvenirs.
When you enter the castle gate you cannot avoid the strong Green all around (of course depends on the season).
In the castle there are a lot of rooms with special Romanian old costumes, with swords and other accessories.
There is also a balcony to view the beautiful commune of Bran.

Piatra Neamt- "German Rock"

This beautiful city is located in Moldavia region,North-East of Romania.
350 Km from the capital-Bucharest, in the Bistrita River valley.
Since my father was born here, i have special feelings for this city.

        Have a nice trip !

Sibiel-Magical village in Transilvania

Only 20 km from the big city Sibiu, located the very special village of Sibiel.
In the center of the village stands a very nice and small museum.
A lot of beautiful pensions are available inside and outside the village.
If you want to rest or travel around, this is the right place to be !
Very peaceful place with warm people, a lot of animals all around, and beautiful landscapes.

Brasov-Translivania's Crown

Located in the center of the country, in the beautiful region of Transilvania and surrounded by the southern Carpathians mountains, stands one of the most special cities in Europe. some even say:"Probably the best cities in the world".
A big sign of "Brasov" on the top of Tampa mountain, cannot be missed. As well as very big, and full of shops, restaurants and coffee bars square, called: Piata Sfatului.
The most obvious fact about the people of Brasov is that they love and admire their great city.
The location of Brasov, in the heart of Transilvania, is attractive for tourists. They can make "star" trips all around the area.
Many pensions and hotels are allover and will fit a single, couple or families.

My journey to Maramures- Part 2

In the evening we came back to this warm family farm in Maramures.
We watched the nice owner milking her cows in the old fashion way..

As we have 2 small children, she suggested to boil the milk just in case..so while she did it we walked around her farm, enjoying the green trees, fruits and vegetables.

She has a lot of cats so my children were very happy to play with them.

The local people are using apples in so many ways:Pies,Brandy,jam and more.

Oren is impressed by the organic tomatoes that grow in the farm.

Sigal is finally drinking her fresh milk.

After enjoying the her peaceful farm, she offered us her own handmade cheese and bread.

After this beautiful visit we walked to our hotel (2 min. from the farm). The hotel called:"Secret Garden".

It is a paradise in the middle of pure nature.

Maramures is a beautiful region in the north of Romania.The pure nature, the kind and warm people, the unique traditions what makes it so special.

If you are going to Romania, you must visit Maramures.
